Love love love this sushi establishment. The sushi here is fantastic and so fresh . Uni is great when they do have it. Service is awesome . Every dish I tried here was amazing, not just the sushi. Me and husband come here once a week from St Catharines. It's the best in the area incl st Catharines/Niagara . It's also very cozy inside . Sea bass dish is super tender and good .

I had such an amazing experience at Mikado! The tempura was absolutely perfect—crispy, light, and full of flavor—and the Go Train Roll? Easily one of the best things ever. The whole place has such a warm, cozy vibe, and the staff are genuinely lovely—so friendly and attentive without being over the top. I’m already planning my next visit and can’t wait to bring more friends along. Total hidden gem!

Came to this restaurant on a Thursday evening with my husband and baby. We were seated immediately. The sushi was delicious. There are a ton of options, which can make it difficult to choose. Highly recommend the lobster and chicken kaarange. The server, who I think is the owner, was so friendly and playful with my baby. It helped make for smoother dining experience. Would recommend!

The food was amazing and the presentation even better. Fresh ingredients, careful preparation and a nice service. Mikado has all the ingredients for you to enjoy a great sushi if you are in Burlington Downton. We went on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't very busy. We loved the experience so we are definitely coming back.

I’ll start by saying this is not a typical sushi spot. The sushi here tastes different without being pretentious. The fish to rice ratio (especially in the nigiri) is outstanding. Service is quick and friendly, the atmosphere is very nice. We loved the nigiri and sashimi. Rolls were good too. We also had the veggie tempura which was very tasty.

Mikado in downtown Burlington is our absolute favorite spot for exceptional sushi! From the moment you step inside, the welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home, and the best sushi in Burlington keeps us coming back for more. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making our dining experience truly enjoyable. Whether we’re sharing rolls or savoring their delicious appetizers, we always leave satisfied and excited to return. If you’re looking for an amazing sushi experience, Mikado is the place to be!

We were driving back home to KW on Sunday afternoon, and we felt like having some decent Japanese/sushi. Mikado did not disappoint. To find a parking was a little tricky, as the free lot across the street was 99% full. But we got one. We were greeted by very friendly staff, who let us choose our own table (far enough from the front door). She also helped us to e plain the menu choices and options. A cold Sapporo arrived quickly at our table. Our meal started a small salad and miso soup. Both were really good, but the salad had a fantastic light dressing ... yum! We shared a dragon roll with fried shrimp and unagi ... delicious. Our main courses were both perfectly prepared and presented on hot steel skillets. Both came with a bowl of white rice ... a wonderful combination ... sticky rice and grilled meats. We topped it off with two ice cream varieties .... green tea with fried bananas (amazing, but so big, it must be shated) and Tai Yaki (ice cream inside a fish shaped pastry) also deelish. We will definitely be back to this little gem in Burlington. You should stop by, too.
